Re: carburetion problems
sorry for the delay in the answer but because of the lock down I was unable to work on the bike. The problem was solved and depended on a series of imperfections: the electrical system was the main culprit and I had to change the regulator and the coil, also the jet of the carburettor is too large. ...

rewinding the coil
I need to rewind the coil of my dkw nz350 bj1939 but I need to know the number of turns of the copper wire.
Anyone have the technical data sheet of the coil or can you tell me the number of turns of the thread?
Thank you

carburetion problems
On my nz350 I have an Amal 24c2a carburetor but I am having some problem.
The engine starts fine but then does not rev up and does not run smoothly.
The air filter and carburetor are perfectly clean, the main jet is 130, the needle is in 3rd position.
What is wrong?

Petrol tap for nz350
I am looking for a petrol tap, original or good repro, for my NV350
no spark
Problem of the day: this morning my nz350 started regularly, then, after one minute, suddenly turned off and it is no longer starting. The reason is that the sparking plug doesnt spark. I checked all the cables, the fuses, the battery but they are ok. Where can the fault be? How can I test the ignit...

cylinder marks
hello everybody,
my 1939 nz 350 has on the side of the cylinder , instead the audi four circles or the izh saturn, one K.
What does it mean?
The cylinder does not have removable port inspection covers - Überströmdeckel and show the serial nr.1220631.
Is it original dkw or Izh?
Thanx

Re: advice on painting
Thanks for your suggestions. I found a coachbuilder who can paint the chrome parts after having treated them with a specific primer. I will update you on the result.

advice on painting
I want to make the military version of my civil NZ350-1939 I have to paint it. The coachbuilder told me that it is not possible to paint the complete wheels, but the spokes must be removed from the rims. Have you disassembled them to paint the wheels or can they be painted still assembled ? I do not...
