What am I missing? - NZ 350-1 Scheinwerfer on eBay.de

I was following this recently finished eBay.de auction in which the following NZ-1 headlight went for EUR 548.01, approximately US $595.74. I just wanted to know what was so special about this one? Original glass possibly? Are they that rare? Or could it be just the eBay effect. :?: Thanks.....

DKW factory question

I posted this question below on the DKW NZ Facebook page. I know some of the folks here are not on Facebook though. I'm trying to hunt down the history about what happened to the DKW factory in Chemnitz in the final days of WW2? I'm sure its out there but I can't find it. When and even was the plant...

Interesting DKW photo

I recently saw this DKW photo on eBay. It looks like a NZ 350-1943, maybe a NZ-1? Interesting photo.

A couple things...

So I have been getting back into my DKW after taking quite a while off focusing on other projects. I was reading through some posts and I'm trying to determine if what I have below has been figured out and finally been agreed upon or are still up for contention. 1) NZ-1 tanks did come from the facto...

Interesting DKW photo

Hello everyone, I was watching some videos on youtube about unpublished photos from WW2, and this photo came up. I think this photo is of captured German equipment after Stalingrad. I can count eight plus DKWs. Thought you guys would like to see it. Wish I could find the original. http://i303.photob...

Luftfilter difference between NZ/IZH?

Hello everyone, quick question.

How do you tell the difference from a NZ-1 air filter and the IZH post war model? Are there any characteristics that tell them apart?

Danke,

Steel Data plate?

I was wondering if anyone is reproducing the late war steel rather than aluminum NZ-1 data plate. I have a good aluminum repro but I would like to get a more original steel type.

Thanks!

That may be a good idea, to at least make casts of the parts until someone can be found that can CNC or fabricate them. I know there is a need for these parts. I wish I could do something with it, but my current location and situation precludes me from helping out. I don't think shipping them to Afg...
