Re: Alvermann Oldtimerbedarf

A few years ago I placed an order for some repro-parts with the company and Alvermann in fact sent me an order confirmation. After some time I received another mail saying that he thought it was too complicated to arrange the shipment. And that was the end of it. I have met the man himself on a few ...

Re: Fork with rubber buffers - when did the production start

Hello folks,

One of my NZ 350 machines which is a very "early" 1938 does not have the rubber buffers in question. Incidentally it also had golden "zierlinien" on the main frame, which I have never seen on another NZ. My early 1940 NZ 350 (probabely January) does have the rubber buffers.

Re: Number of dkw's 350/350-1 left

Hello, I can assure you that most of the NZ 350s that I have come acroos here in Norway are not on this list at all. There are many, very many. But I thinks Dirks listing gives a good idea of the geographical distribution you can expect.

Re: NZ Info WW2

Hallo,

As I have stated before, MZAG stands for Metalwerke Zöglitz AG. This factory was producing parts for DKW (and others) already in the late 20-ies and became part of the DKW boss Rasmussens "empire".

Re: NZ Info WW2

Hallo,

I thought MZAG which appears on many DKW pre-war bikes stood for "Metalwerke Zöblitz AG" one of many J.S. Rassmussens companies.

Re: Nice exhange? (Wittkop back seat-sozius<=>NZ 250 front s

Hello again,

Yes, this one looks more like an early NZ seat. I have one that looks very much the same (the frame that is) on my NZ 350 from 1938. If the hole pattern and the with of the base fit your frame (some 56 mm) it should be OK.

Best regards

Re: Nice exhange? (Wittkop back seat-sozius<=>NZ 250 front s

Hello!

I am quite familiar with the SB seats (250, 350 and 500) but would certainly not try to put them on an NZ 250. Regarding he value of your Wittkopf seat I have no idea.

Re: 1940 dkw 350 nz

Hello!

The speedometer drive unit should be on the left hand side of the front wheel hub. If it is missing I suggest you keep a look out on e-bay. They turn up rather frequently.

Re: Brake lever 350 NZ

Hello,

OK, I thought you looked for the lever at the other end of the wire. I have two brake handles left over for NZ 350, 1938 - 40, both perhaps slightly bent, but in reasonable condition. One Complete With nut and bolt (rusty).

Are you looking for rear wheel or front wheel brake lever, "blech" version or "guss" version version?

Re: Piston Rings

Please note also that the "Stossmass" i.e. the gap in the ring when placed inside the cylinder should be 0,4 to 0,6 mm on the NZ. Repro pistons from Italy which are quite common today need a higher "Kolbenspiel" than the original german pistons. That I have learned from experience!
