Normandy veteran!

At last - here are photos of my bike! 1939 DKW 350NZ with a Stoye sidecar. Discovered in a military shop in Normandy this July, and brought back to UK in August. It is in excellent condition, and I think restored about 20 years ago. The desert colour is obviously not original but at the moment I am ...

Tracing my 1939 350NZ history

Hi all, I am now researching the history of my bike. The previous French owner bought it in October 1994, prior to that it changed owners in 1969. I have now wrtten to the Ministry of Transport in France to trace the registration numbers and see if they can give me any names and addresses. Is there ...

Stoye Sidecars

My 'new' 1939 350NZ has a sidecar fitted that I believe is a Stoye. Does anyone know how I can identify it correctly? So far all I have found is a number 904 stamped in the body under the seat.

thanks, Chris

Re: buying a 350NZ

Hi all, The latest 350NZ is now on English soil - probably 76 years later than originally intended!! My son and I collected it from Normandy yesterday - no known history yet so a lot of investigation needed. I've checked the numbers, so far I'm reassured that it is 1939: engine: 848480 Frame: 482054...

buying a 350NZ

Hi all, I'm new to the website and hope to be an owner of a 1939 350NZ next week - subject to negotiations! I am looking for advice when buying a bike: I have seen the bike, it appears to be complete, the engine turns over but has not run for many years. Paintwork and all fittings are in good order,...
