The manual shows a retouched photograph, as in most manuals of the thirties to the sixties, and obviously a pre-series bike. But I`m sure it is as said, no one has ever seen an original holder and it were never issued on serial bikes. Wilhelm, Exactly, an Artist retouched drawing. I am sure it was ...

Sounds very good. We have a cycle in the German forum section as well which has installed these parts. Maybe this is easier for the most guys, as all the ones in need of that parts are sited in Europe (Of course only the ones who asked for it). But if the owner of the German bike denies, it would r...

I heard that a reenactor in Grossdeutschland in Wisconsin is just finishing up restoring another DKW NZ 350-1, making that the fourth one in the USA. I have one that used to belong to Tim Neumann and Ron Henton before him. I'll see if I can learn more about it at the next WWII event. Darvis, Well t...

First of all we would have to find out where all the DKWs are in the states. From the DKW datasheet it shows only about three here in the U.S. but I know there is more. Mike (I think) has sold his DKW and it could still be in California. I think distances would be prohibitive for us unless onwers a...

Hello martdapp, I own the manual and there are pictures of a holder, but the pictured bike is completely pre-serial and many parts were changed in the following time. My question is if anyone has a real bike with an original holder... I have owned a few DKW's, seen numerous pictures( which late war...

I was looking on Mike Dunn's motorcycle webpage today. He has a '43 NZ350 for sale, and it looks like it has the later model brackets? I can't tell from the photo if they are original or repros. Mike can you tell? Has anyone started making reporductions? I still need a set. http://www.vintagegerman...

The whole cap looks like a reproduction to me. Such caps were only made for the NZ 350-1 1944 to 45 and definitely not exported to anywhere. Also I miss the ribbing on the outer side of the cap where you normally grip it to open. And there is a strange rimp on the top of the measuring cup which can...

The cap is real, no question about it. I would put money on it, this is not a reproduction. I have to agree this cap probably is for another bike which was exported to the UK pre 1939 before the invasion of Poland. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2699/4511108814_8fd5e7e503.jpg http://farm3.static.fli...

NZ350 gas cap with two stroke oil cup

I have a question for which i cant figure out. I have this gas cap on a 1943 DKW NZ350. On one side is the words in German how to mix the gas, understandable and I know they did this. But why is it written in English on the opposite side? Is this because the cap was for an export? I am going to assu...
