Re: re-corking clutch
Hi Chris, The clutch discs are identical on all alu engine NZ`s (250/350/500), the only difference is the amount of discs. Im not so good on IZH, but in my opinion a IZH 350/49 clutch with (simplex chain) up to some mid 50´s should fit on a NZ350/350-1 engine. The later IZH clutches with duplex chai...

Re: re-corking clutch
Hi Chris,
Seems you have to grind the discs down on a sanding table. I have some NOS NZ cork discs and their thickness are between 5,1-5,3 mm.
Greetings!

NZ Rear frame
Hi, At the NZ homepage it says: "In June 1940 the rear end of the bike was shortened with 40 mm (from frame number 582559), which lifted the rear seat with 4 mm." I disagree with this and had a discussion with Nikola about this and he told me to put the theme on the forum for discussion. I have meas...

Re: Nz250 price
Hi,
Hard to say anything exact, but in my opinion a good one with all the correct (hard-to-find) parts and a good engine is 4000-5000€ and junk heaps from 1000€ up.

Re: cylinder marks
Hi,
The K is probably a foundry stamp and is quite often seen on NZ cylinders. A K marked cylinder without the covers is for a NZ350-1.

Re: advice on painting
Hi,
Try to contact a company who do chrome plating, the can also remove the old chrome in a chemical way. Check with them if they rims and spokes need to be dismantled, or if they can remove it from a complete wheel.

Re: advice on painting
Hi,
No problems to paint the rims with the spokes assembled, there is no need to dismantle them if they are in ok condition.
Only if someone has mounted chromed spokes, there can be problems with painting, but not with standard painted steel spokes.

Re: 350NZ kickstarter
Hi Chris, Good to hear from you! Your bike looks great =D> with the markings! Even if the sidecar is older than the bike, it looks nice and seems to be of correct size for the bike. I think its wrong to say IZH is a copy of DKW, because after the russians robbed the whole factory from Germany, they ...

Re: Need help
Hi Paolo,
Sorry for being unclear.
With wrong parts I mean they are from some other make/model of motorcycle and not belong to a NZ350.
