I think its quite easy to restore the old one, should not be any problem. Is it possible for someone to measure the total lenght (the both junctions included) of an original cable, the one i have is broken in three pieces and it is also a bit stretched? Its of course possible to measure the distance...

The one one the pics looks quite much the same as the one i have, only the nut is a bit different since my nut is not covered by aluminium. I think I will restore ...

On the flexible metal spiral hose/cover from the NZ 500, there can also be seen some fragments from black or dark grey paint. Also the "nut" in the upper end that attaches the cable to the speedo seems to be black plastic or bakelite (same kind of material as the gear shift knob on fuel tank) , when...

Hi again,

Also info where to purchase a used one in fair/restorable condition is welcome. Do anyone have a good picture of a original one, or any info about maker and type of the fuel tap?

1939 NZ 350 fuel tap

Hi everyone,

Does someone know where a new fueltap of original type with water bowl and with a connection for a metal fuel pipe can be purchased? Tried to check out German ebay and German web shops, but I have not seen any so far.

Hi Again, I agree with you since I am restoring my bike not for show purpose, but for use, therefore I want to find a piston of good quality to an acceptable price also. Also seen repro pistons in Germany sold for 250-300 Euros, which I think is a bit too much. Who manufactured the genuine DKW pisto...
