Re: Horns for the NZ

The Hella rear light without the "HELLA" script on it, is correct. It simply has no "HELLA" script on it, because it was not manufactured by them. During the progress of WW2 the resources in Germany became scarce and it was decided by the governement to standardise many things. One was in example th...

Re: Interesting picture

Yes, the NZ350 was produced with rear suspension in early 1943. The chassis numbers are 609001-612000. It was a special order from the NSKK. The Suspension was the same a sthe NZ500. I am so sure because I saw already two of those bikes myself.

Re: Handschaltung

Hallo Wolfgang,

Re: Interesting picture

...but now the important questions: 1. What does the sign on the tank mean. 2. What kind of rear suspension is used? Looks like the later IZH suspension (I know that this is impossible). The NZ500 rear suspension (made under license from Benelli-Italy) lokks completely different. Maybe the IZH suspe...

Re: help with some catalog with parts of DKW 350 NZ 1 engine

Hi Martin,

historically correct. I also see the possibility that the parts list for the 350-1 was never printed. Look how much later than the introduction of the 350-43 the partslist was issued. 01.07.1944! One year later!

This catalogue is either lost or was never produced. One of the big mysteries in NZ history.

Re: Brand new NZ250

These are metal clamps, made from soft aluminium. They are still available new today. It seems that the have some kind of clear protective laquer on them, that turned brown after all these years.

Hi Frank,

I am very convinced that this bike came with this horn fitted ex-works.

Very interesting!
