Hi to all ISH experts!
By comparing different back fenders I found some small difference ... do you know, wether these are typical for ISH Parts ?
If you look at the grey one you`ll see two holes for the tail-light ... which fit perfectely to the red light which should be of russian origin (some cyrillian letters indicate this...). I found these two holes on two othe fenders. These also got a second detail in common ...the "bördelung"(don`t know the englich word for it in the moment...) at the inner side ist flattened on all of them (see pic from inside), while it is not flattened on another fender which ist surely original DKW (dunkelgelb colour over red primer with the same green overspray as my early 1944 frame... found in an old workshop in the west)... . The overall dimension of both types is identical. Is the grey one typical ISH or just the "late war type" which was used also on the DKW ?? Any opinion ?
Regards,
Jens

Hi Arloff!
Yes, this grey back fender is for ISH.
The best difference is flattened inner side. After so many years there could be many holes for different things in fender, so for other Guys only this flattened inner side is the best way to chceck if fender is from ISH.
Both original fenders for DKW NZ 350-1 have not flattened inner sides!!!
Another difference are those fasteners for bail (Bugel). ISH has double stripes (one on another), as you can see on this grey fender. DKW has only single stripes!!!

Hello Peter !
Many thanks for your reply ! There seems to be a lot of ISH material out there as I managed to get at least three comlete examples of this fender type but only a half of the DKW type ... (the compete main part in original paint...) So I´m still looking for the part which can be pulled up...
Regards,
Jens
