horn secret......

Post by 12345caravan » Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:18 pm

:?:
Can anyone tell me what's the secret of the wire terminal block?
I have the Hella horn as exactly in the parts manual, so with the wire's on the right side of the horn (away from bike),
but I also see them with the wire's on the inside of the horn (close to bike).

See the difference! Did someone not pay attention when drilling my holes........
Or are the others strange?
Makes more sense to me to place them close to bike for protection, but
not shure if I want to redrill them...

Hi 12345caravan,
You have the horn of the RT 125!
The picture of the spare parts list shows the Horn of NZ.
The two are different, possibly even in size.
In the spare parts list, they have different numbers.

Thanks for the reply rtwolle,
the one I have is the one from the spare parts list (upper picture), so this must be the right one.
Only strange thing , is that the wire terminal is on the outside of the bike,
that makes no sense to me, looks fragile.....

Hello 12345caravan,
The horn of the RT 125 is mounted to the spring plate down (picture below). I know that to 100%.
The horn of the spare parts list (pictured above) may be mounted so as depicted, so the spring plate up.
So both cable connections are protected.
