Hello,
With my 1940 nz 350 came a gastank that doesn't have the holes requiered to mount the schaltsegment. since the paint was craked in many place where there should have been this mounting I removed the paint and soon big pieces of some kind of filling came off revealing that the place for the mounting was filled with, what I think is, aluminium
(can scrape of pieces with a knife) this is very crudly done.
Is it worth the effort to remove this or should I grind it and repaint it?
Greetings Dirk

Re: NZ 350 schaltsegment
Had the same experience, at one Tank they used a very light metal wich melts quick. On another Tank they used Brass, I had to drill and tap the old holes.
