Stoye Sidecars

Post by thunderbolt » Thu Aug 27, 2015 9:13 am

My 'new' 1939 350NZ has a sidecar fitted that I believe is a Stoye. Does anyone know how I can identify it correctly? So far all I have found is a number 904 stamped in the body under the seat.

thanks, Chris

Hi all,

These photos appeared in the February 2015 issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine (courtesy of John G Teasdale). What do you think, is that a 350NZ with the sidecar?

cheers,

Chris

Hi Matthias,

that's a blow, I thought for a moment I was onto something - back to my research!

Many thanks for your expert response!

all best,

Hi Mike,

meant to send these ages ago - sorry! I now think the sidecar is a Belgian /French make, possibly a Precision.

still researching my bike's history, got back as far as 1950 at the moment. It's a 1939 350NZ with correct engine and frame numbers for April 1939 build date. I think it might have been a civilian model as I cannot find any Wehrmacht stampings.

cheer,

Chris

Chris,

This is not a Stoye sidecar, you are correct. It is a Belgian if I am correct.
