Which use has the up-screwed cover on the tank-shutter of my 350-1?

Hi, I think it is to prevent leakage when the bike is on its side, carried in a truck or on a tank.

I need some dimensions of this cap, can you email me direct on: info(at)welbike.net, kan in het nederlands!

Hi all,

Talked to some knowledgeble people at the Veterama market last weekend, and they told me the raised filter cap was invented by Zundapp, for in the desert, so no dust could get into the petrol tank that way.

Appearently there were thousands of these parts made, but then the war in North Africa was lost, and the stock of parts were used on DKW NZ 350-1 and RT125-1

Has anyone heard of this story before??

Regards,

Lex Schmidt
