Post by Paul » Sun Jul 02, 2006 2:32 pm

Hi all, I have a fuel cap that I think belongs to a NZ-1. What do I have? Thanks

Hi, Paul, I think there are some images of the fuel cap here

Gascap

On left you can see the gascap as used on the NZ 350. On the right side the cap for the NZ 350-1. Please note that the NZ350-1 cap was originally not chromed but painted. The cap includes a small cup which is used to measure the oil. Its embossed letters read: 0,1 Ltr, 2 x FÜR 5 LITER, 1:25

I guess my cap kind-of looks like it, but after looking at the correct one more closely, it seems that mine is missing the top half. I guess that's why there is one large and two smaller holes. Another piece, I'm guessing, was screwed into what I have. Hmmm?? :?

Fuel cap NZ 350-1

Post by m_wilby » Mon Jul 03, 2006 8:21 am

I have some nice photographs of the missing parts. If you mail me i'll send you the pics.. The pictures show all the components of the fuel cap (which are missing in your picture)..I stripped several of mine prior to blasting and applying primer, and took pictures of the parts..

The fuel cap was also used on the RT-125-1 (which i also own)..So i guess i have 3-4 bikes with the same latter stlye fuel cap.. My e-mail adddy is in the register.

I'm busy with my BMW R75 atm so i don't get to spend as much time doing DKW stuff as i'd like atm..But i'm happy to share the info and pics if i get time!

Regards to all Martin Wilby (uk)
