Hi Guys,

I'm affraid that visit on market is the only way to get this rubber.
Bozecki didn't send his products.
And I'm quite sure he is not visiting markets in western Europe.
I don't know exactly price, but it's about 150 PLN = 43 Euro.
If I'll meet him in July, I'll ask him about buying few rubbers, so maybe he'll decide to send them.

Regards
Peter

Hi Folks,

I still try to get two of these rubber covers. Can someone, maybe our NZ friends from Poland, help me with this?

Thanks

Pagusa-seats

Post by martdapp » Sat Jun 27, 2009 4:56 pm

Hello Tom,
I bought a driverseat from the Oldtimer Garage, it fits well and looks like original. However, to make it fit is not easy. First the tin front bracket and then the rear bracket. On the pictures You can see that the rearseat is bigger then the driverseat. The rearseats are not in re-production by now.

The one with the DKW writing is early postwar, it should be Pagusa on it. The latest original wartime saddles like the one fitted on my bike had the Pagusa design and an empty round field with no Pagusa writing, surely to avoid bombing on part producing factories which easily could be identified by captured bikes. Every german equipment got the so called RBN (Reichsbetriebsnummer) later in the war and factory signs on equipment were banned to make it more difficult to find bomb targets. You can find this also on german helmet liners and clothing.

I was speaking to oldtimer last year (briefly) about making the larger pillion seat cover as I have an original sozius cover that has never been used. Maybe it could be used as a pattern. I was thinking to contact the Pagusa factory, but I don't know if they would be interested in wartime seats....

I contacted Oldtimer-garage for the bigger Rear-seats.
Till now they have not enough demand for reproduction of the bigger rear-seat.
I have contacted this link for reproductions.
http://www.metallverarbeitung-hamburg.de/index.htm[/quote]
Far as I know they do not produce the Wartime-covers with the cursive Pagusa-script.

Today I bought a complete rearseat, almost exact the same as Pagusa,
only the rubber cover has no Pagusa-script but MFM.
MFM means (Möve Fahrradfabrik Mühlhausen) in the old version.
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maschinen- ... &_Co._GmbH
It was used for the first EMW R35 but also for the pre-war BMW????
(information subject to change according to hearsay)
I allready contacted the firm with this question and waiting for an answer.

The owner said it belongs to a DKW-SB.
To my opinion DKW had different Denfeld-covers during the time that they produced the SB-versions?

I have a new (old stock) original large pagusa pillion cover, never used. I would like to get new ones made using it as a pattern. Problem is, I don't want to send it off to a company to copy and never see it again :?

Hi Martin,
the MFM saddle blankets are postwar productions were entered in AWO, EMW and RT125 IFA. As far as I know had SB 200 Leatherette seat covers and no rubber seats.
