WTK where to get 6 volt batteries for the NZ 350-1

Post by cudaman82 » Tue Jul 29, 2008 4:59 pm

Ok guys, my bike will be here in a matter of days, but the previous owner states that the battery might not be charged and that he had to charge the battery after a weeks worth of use. I figure this is because I have a bad battery, and I was wondering where I could pick up 6 volt batteries. I know that Blitzbikes.com has them, but for 100 a piece, its a bit steep. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Tim
try yahoo groups KRADRIDER,ask on this forum about your battery needs.somewhere locally in the united states.also this is a another great resource for information on german motorrads.but for a $100.00 which is really too bad in price for a period correct battery, because if you buy one from europe it's going to be pricey.also blitz bikes is only a few states away from you.
good luck,

Hi Tim,

I took my old 6V battery and removed all internals with a DREMEL tool. Then I measured the rubber case and bought two sealed lead-acid (Panasonic/Yuase/Exide) rechargable 6V batterys which fitted inside the case. After connecting the batteries in series, I got a nice, carefree Battery for my NZ which looks like the real thing from the outside.

Regards

Thomas
