Beside the gastank which is sold for 490,- Euro there was a restored 1944 - 1 advertised at german ebay ... described as "carefully build up from only original parts", with original tin boxes and some piecec still in original paint it really looked good for me ... and it was now sold (if all went right with the auction... ) for at least 8.500 Euro !!!
If it was real ...is the interest in the NZ growing that much ? Not long ago this bike would have been sold for around 4.000 Euro...

Jens

Its just not DKW bikes that are going up in price , all German WW2 krads are starting to go through the roof. The little 200's are still reachable and a decent price but the 250's and up bikes are fetching decent dollars. In the USA a NZ350-1 would sell for $8,500 and up. I can tell you right now its going to keep going up and up.

There was an NSU Kettenkrad that was auctioned on 19. September at Bonham's Goodwood Revival meeting at GBP 67.500,00!! (That makes it €85.000,00)
Not 20 years ago no one would have given more than 15.000 € ...and good, original and drivable VW 82 where sold at under 10.000 €. Not to talk about the NZ a friend of mine sold for 1.000 € 10 years ago... as far as I remember it was an mid 1943 model as it still had the old fashion mudgards with an overal RAL 7028 painting under thin layer of black civil paint... . It even had it`s original taillight... .
At that time I wasn´t looking for an NZ...

Hello Jens,
It is a question from ask and demand!
How many of this vehicles survived, not so many in total.
On east European oldtimer markets it's possible to make or buy almost complete German vehicles as BMW-Zundapp-Kuebel wich are total built up with new (repro) parts. .
As long we cann't find the org. parts, we should be lucky with the Russian ISH-parts wich help so many NZ's running!
