Hello Centi
I have one of these generators installed on my SB500. Its well made and works OK, the drawback is there is no ignition advance, which looses some of the power of the engine. It doesnt run as well as it did with the points.
I have converted my original DKW dynamo to fit a Honda alternator (12 Volt) and regulator, but by using the end of the original dynamo kept the bob weights, to give the ignition advance, with an aftermarket electronic ignition, using a Hall effect sensor to a little flag on the cam to trigger the ignition.
Regards Rob
