Post by Lolo » Wed Jul 08, 2009 9:38 pm

Hello, these week-end, I organise a meeting of DKW for a run in Normandy. We made about 200 km in the litle roads.
As you can see, we had a few model of very nice DKW.

Awesome My DKW came from Normandy - I went to buy it from a guy near Raids about 4 years ago and I will eventually take it back over for a ride or two !!!

DKW-meeting

Post by martdapp » Sun Jul 19, 2009 7:42 pm

Maybe is this the beginning of an idea for a meeting for only NZ's
or Only WH-DKW's.

WOW! great! I think something like this would be hard for us in the states; so few DKWs here and the ones that are here are scattered all over the place. We can dream though... :)

Great pictures. Heres a picture of a NZ standing in the invasion museum in Bayeux in the Normandie area.

I did not get close enough to see the serial or engine numbers.

First of all we would have to find out where all the DKWs are in the states. From the DKW datasheet it shows only about three here in the U.S. but I know there is more. Mike (I think) has sold his DKW and it could still be in California. I think distances would be prohibitive for us unless onwers are in the same general geographic area. I would be up for it though, that is if I'm not deployed again.

Hello all,

As last year, we organise a new meeting for DKW in Normandy (near Argentan 61150). It will be on the 3 and 4 of July. We make a rallye of 60 km on saturday, and 120 km on Sunday.
It's possible to make camping for the night.

We ever wait for 2 350 NZ, 1 NZ-1, 1 125 RT 1941, 2 125 rt-1, 1 500 NZ...

If someone is intrested, tell me.

Lolo.

I know where most of them are at. I have two in my garage, you have two more in Oregon. You have 3 in Ohio and Paul I dont know where you are located at and Jeff is in IL. You also have one in VA or is it PA?

I heard that a reenactor in Grossdeutschland in Wisconsin is just finishing up restoring another DKW NZ 350-1, making that the fourth one in the USA. I have one that used to belong to Tim Neumann and Ron Henton before him. I'll see if I can learn more about it at the next WWII event.
