REGULATOR CARTRIDGES-SPULENKASTEN

Post by 1939NZ250 » Tue Jan 19, 2010 6:30 am

HELLO EVERYONE. I JUST PURCHASED A PAIR OF NOS REGUALTOR CARTRIDGES. THE SET THAT CAME WITH MY MACHINE ARE DIFFERENT COLORS. THE LEFT (SCHALTER) IS BLACK AND THE RIGHT (REGLER) IS BROWN.
NOT THE CASE WITH THE NEW PARTS. THEY ARE BOTH BROWN BAKELITE AND HAVE NOT HAD THE BRIDGE WIRE SOLDERED IN PLACE. ONE OF THEM HOWEVER IS MARKED WITH A WHITE DOT ON THE FRONT AND A LARGE PURPLE "K" ON THE SIDE. WHICH ONE IS WHICH?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Hi,

there are a number of different cartridges, even some of the DKW cars used them. I do have a list of the different cartridges, BUT you need the part no. of the cartridge. In the list are no markings/colours of the cartridge mentioned.

Thank you Thomas.
Unfortunately I have no part number information, just the markings described in the first post. However I may have found an indication to the answer. I always save photos when possible. So, I went back over all the photos I had collected showing the Spulenkasten with the cartridges in place. All of the photos show the cartridge with the "white dot" on the regulator side. It's an assumption I will have to confirm somehow, but it is a start.

Hello Aron
I have the same problem as you !
I have 4 single cartridges with black bakelit they are new!
I think brown bakelit is "Regler", black bakelit is "Schalter", but i dont know ??
All 4 Cartridges have a white point !

Hi,

thats correct, I checked the MoTA 3 for the NZ350/RT125. There is written:

The right cartridge (brown top) ist he regulator, the left cartridge is the reverse current switch.
