Hi all,

My name is Arnaud, I live in France near Paris. I've got a DKW NZ 350 unrestore. I think it's a NZ 350 1943.

FRAME Number 614851 with WAa
Engine number 1350613 (stamped 8(4?) and 72
cylindre stamped 2(44)

The motobike was in Farm . The last driver paint it in black. Under this color, all the motobike is german sand.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You`re right, you own a DKW NZ 350/43.

If the original colour is still under the paint, you should try to get rid of the old colour by Aceton to preserve all the original paint. That`s a lot of work, but afterwards you own a terrific beautiful original bike. For your needed parts, try to search Ebay with the keywords "DKW NZ", the toolbox and the package holder are offered already all three weeks, they are found very often.

The meaning of the letters on your engine is "VG 72" for "Verstärktes Getriebe" (Improved gearbox).

At a first, quick look, you should even place front- and taillight, horn, air cleaner (Wirbelluftfilter), hand-gearshift, baggage-boxes and rear seat on your want add list.

Congratulations to your nice and rare bike, I would be pleased to see more photos of it! :D
