Thougt I would post a pics of the tools i found in the toolbox on my NZ.

All are marked with DKW rings and part number except for the exhaust spanner.

If anyone has pics of other original tools, markings on them and so on, please post here, I would like to know what to keep an eye out for. :)

Hi Svenn,

nice tools. I think I should start a collection of pictures of original NZ-tools in the parts-section. Have you compard the partnumbers on the tools with the numbers in the parts-catalogue?

If the numbers match, I would like to ask you to take good quality pictures of each individual tool (best one picture of the front side, one picture of the rear side) and e-mail them to me.

Best regards

Great, I support the Tool section idea, it will be great! I positively have same as the third from the left, with the rings stamped. I will see if I may add some pictures.

Hello,

the right one on your picture is a tool used by Fire-Departments to open and close fittings of fire-hoses. It surely not belongs to the toolset of a NZ 350. It may be carried with a NZ to operate a firepump or sth. like that.

Hi Wilhelm.

I think you are wrong on the tool not belonging to the NZ350. You will find it on "Tafel 31" in the partslist #58. Its for loosening and tightening the exhaust pipe nuts on the block when cleaning the mufflers.

But I agree on that it looks just like the ones for fire hoses, but they are often much larger.

Cheers

 I also stated something wrong...

You will not need the tool of course to clean the mufflers. to do this you only need to dismount the mufflers, not the pipes...but you will need the tool to clean/decarbonize the exhaust channels in the block...

Hi all !

I also think a "tool section" would be great ... to get it on the way I´ll picture my tool collection soon ... including the problem with the tools shown also in the last post: Wich size is correct ??
Most of the war time tools are manufactured after standardisation rules (DIN) and not longer stamped with the Autounion rings as the peace-production... . So you find many of the items in different sizes.
Maybe the size could be calculated from one of the fork-keys ... but does the parts-list show all tools on one photo or is it just "layouted" ??

Regards,

Jens

Thought I would post a picture from Ebay of a NZ wrench.

In the download section some wrenches are illustrated in the article about NZ tools. But no one shaped like this this one with NZ part number only DIN numbers.

It kinda strange that it has the same parts number with ending "-0" when it is totally different shaped than the early style wrenches. It has been my believe that all parts on the NZ that were modified or came in later version had a ending part number with "-1" "-2" and so on.

Heres a picture of my early type wrench- same part number:

Here is also a picture of the last wrench in the early type series..not shown in the article on the download section.
