I'm searching for a war-time militairy DKW nz 350.
Best would be in running condition or (almost) complete condition that i can restore.
Because i'm not a good mechanic to repair a bike from scrap.
Paint doesn't matter much.
In what price direction should i look? i thought about 4000 to 5000 Euro, am i correct?

Hi Gotrick,
4000-5000 Euro should buy you a nicely restored NZ350. My estimate is that NZ350-1943 and NZ350-1 would fetch higher prices than this. I know of a restored NZ350-1 which was sold for 7200,00 Euros.
best regards
Thomas

Yes,
it was completely restored and very original.
There is a NZ for sale at
http://www.motoveterany.sk/ (search for DKW).
I think it is nice, but very expensive.
best regards
Thomas

Just out of being curious...how much would my restored DKW NZ 350-1 fetch in the european market? Its got a russian seat, repro rubber and a post war tail light, but the rest of it is ww2. I figure 5000-6000 might be right but I might be wrong.

The three parts being not original on your bike have an overall price of 100 Euros as reproductions, so I think your bike would fetch a higher price on the european market than only 5000 to 6000 Euros, beginning from 7000 up to 8000 Euros, almost 8200 $. But your bike is painted fieldgrey and not sandbeige, and on german Ebay there were a fieldgrey painted NZ350/1943 and it only fetched a price of less than 5000 Euros, so there is no real guarantee for such high prices, even if they´re steadily increasing for all german second world war stuff. I think that belongs to the picture which the new owner has in mind, if your bike fits it, it fetches high prices.

damn I recently bought 2 of them, nz350's, I for me and one for a friend of mine and we both paid 2250 euro's for them.
including dozen's of spare parts such as: spare engine, 2 extra rear wheels, 2 extra gas tanks one of them beiing an nz 350-1 tank and a lot more.
so If I restore one and sell it I could make a profit of over 250%!!??
nice but still I wont sell it hehe.
greetings from holland,
Dirk
