Updated DKW NZ Forum back online!

Post by Nikola D. Dimitrov » Tue Aug 16, 2011 11:55 am

Dear friends,

I am happy to announce that the updated DKW NZ 350 Forum is back online. The technical engine behind it is brand new, I am pleased to say that I managed to maintain almost all of the looks of the old Forum and ALL of the information shared here by you! I ask you now to report ANY issues that you might have in order to keep it running smoothly and without any problems.

Have fun here and spread the DKW NZ knowledge!

Best regards,
Nikola

Hi Nikola!

I am missing the simple "reply" button.
If I want to answer in the threads, I must click on "quote", than erase the quotation and after then finally write my reply.

And the button "new post" didn´t work.
Am I the only one with this problem?

All the best
Martin

Hi Nech,

If you click on New post button:

you will have exactly what you ask for - you will have a reply field, where to put your replay and below it you will have an overview of the topic - Topic review - Updated DKW NZ Forum back online!, where you may see all the previous posts.

This was the first button I tried, But if I want to answer by clicking "absenden", the system writes me:

"Sie müssen einen Betreff angeben, wenn Sie ein neues Thema erstellen möchten."

The Betreff field is clear..

Oh, I see what the problem was! In the German imageset the buttons where the other way around.

Refresh the forum - press F5 or Refresh button of your browser. The Reply button (New post) should be the second:

Image

When you go with the mouse over this button you should have the Alt text Ein neues Thema erstellen, if you use German.

Image

When you go with the mouse over this button you should have the Alt text Auf das Thema antworten.

Pressing the Reply to topic button should open a Antwort erstellen page with Re: in the Betreff.

Hope it helps.

Will it be possible to change the forum design as before? I always used the "subSilver" style and was very satisfied by it. Now there`s only the old "noseBleed" style displayed which in my opinion is very confusing.

Btw.: The "ranks" where changed, is that correct?

How can I enter pictures into the forum or my gallery now?

Hi, Martin, the images upload is possible, the issue with the images is that they generate huge traffic on our hosting and in order to meet the exceeded traffic a monthly addition is on our expense. In order to keep the image upload open to all we consider asking members for a small donation, we will post additional info on this. For the time being I have created a group - DKW NZ Owners, which is a group of Forum users, who have additional permissions, including image upload. In order to join this group one must request membership and be approved by a Group Moderator. In your case I added you already, please check now if you may upload files now.

Greetings,
Nikola

PS. Martin, I am so sorry, it seems that instead of Quote I clicked on Edit thus editing your message instead of quoting it. Please accept my apologies.
