I finally got an Hella ignition switch for my NZ350 civil. The color is beige, and I want to paint it. As I understand this switch was in black color for civilian bikes.
I considering to disable the switch, both for better paint, and to service the mechanism. Is this to recommend?
By the way; was chrome/polished finish an option for the Hella switch as it was for the Hasag?
Best regards Frode

Re: Hella ignition switch
Hello Frode ,that is good news!!! finaly!! & the Hella type are even more Rare!!
Frode i have seen different colors around , but the early one's (as far as i know) are Chrome and not painted , the non Chrome type seem to have black paint but not sure when they have started that production and if it is 100% correct. , the WH & WL type's are in the color of that time !
I would not dismantel the whole plate , ,the contole light can brake eary & other parts are not easy to find.
Hope you can finish the bike soon.
Greats
Raimond
